HEAVILY DEBRIS-LADEN WATER CALLS FOR RUGGED PUMPS
Submersible trash pumps equipped with a 2" discharge port can easily
handle solids up to one inch in diameter
.  Submersible trash pumps equiped
with a 3" discharge port can easily handle solids up to an inch and half in
diameter.    A vortex action discharges solids away from the cast iron multi-vane
impeller to prevent clogging.
WATER WITH HIGH SAND CONTENT
Equipped with a "High Chromium Iron" Impeller the HSD2.55S Sand
Pump is capable of resisting the extremely abrasive environment
associated with gritty, sandy water.
TRASH PUMPS FACTS
Trash pumps get their name from their ability to handle large amounts of debris and are
the preferred choice of contractors and the rental industry.

The rule of thumb is that a trash pump will generally handle spherical solids up to 1/2
the diameter of the suction inlet (These 2" pumps will handle up to 1" spherical solids).

Solids (sticks, stones and debris) flow through without clogging making them ideal for
the water conditions typically found on job sites.  Trash pumps handle up to 25%
suspended solids by volume.
Submersible Pump advantage over other pump types
Other Pump Types
Submersible pumps have the advantage of being able to work in the water source being
pumped. As a result the submersible is not subject to the suction lift limitations of other
pump types.
NO SUCTION HOSE is required helping to save money and time while
eliminating a potential source of problems. These pumps are limited only by the
discharge head they are capable of producing.
Versatile pumps that handle a
wide range of applications:
CONSTRUCTION:
Contractors prefer the rugged design of a
trash pump for removing water from well
casings, construction sites, cofferdams
and excavations. All pump components are
designed to withstand the rigors of the job
site.
Municipalities:
The versatility and reliability of trash
pumps makes them popular with state and
federal governments. Street and sanitation
departments depend on these pumps for
removal of unwanted water
Homeowners:
Trash pumps lightweight, compact
submersible design can be a good choice
for household de-watering applications
such as basements and swimming pools.
Utilities:
The pump of choice when de-watering
manholes or transformer vaults. Service
personnel value their lightweight portability.
