Husqvarna has to two drive systems and it's important to
know which drive system is equipped on your saw.

Older Husqvarna saws utilize
a 9-spline system

Identify these saws by the drive sprocket (also called a rim sprocket). These sprockets have a larger interior and 9 indents on the inner rim, called splines. These saws can only use the FORCE3 system from ICS. To convert your saw to the 7-Spline system, the PRO45 Kit P/N 588679701 is available below:

Newer Husqvarna saws utilize
a 7-spline system

Identify these saws by the drive sprocket
(also called a rim sprocket). These sprockets have a smaller interior and 7 indents on the inner rim, called splines. The PRO45 system changes the clutch cup to allow these saws to utilize the same bars, chains and sprockets as ICS Large Gas Saws

The Husqvarna PRO45 Kit for K970 Concrete Chainsaws converts the clutch drum from a 9-spline system to a 7-spline system.
